- Stay with the vehicle: a fine applies if no one is with the vehicle for more than 2 minutes on a yellow line, or 5 minutes in a loading bay.
- After hours, loading in permitted areas has no time limit, which can make an evening or Sunday load the simpler option.
- Heavy goods vehicles over 5 tonnes can't park overnight, and there are no bank holiday concessions. Dropped kerbs and double parking (more than 50cm from the kerb) are off limits.
